Hello, all, and good day to you.
This wonderful wilderness of crazy clockwork seems to be your perfect place, no? If not, then hike off to some charming zombie-infested dystopia on the other side of fiction. I could even lend you my spare Gear Glider 2000 if you were really determined. But hopefully, you aren't contented to scamper off and be eaten alive by undead monsters, then you'll stay for tea. Did I mention that adventuring in these places can be frightfully exciting? And that being a librarian isn't all cold coffee and shushing and sour glances? And that dear old Queen Vicky, for whom I am named, was quite a pretty princess in her day?
Sorry if I veered off my course. The point is, the world of Steampunk is millions of leagues about, and any possiblilties are fully plausible. Therefore, It's quite lovely to hop about and shriek anything that comes into your head. Enjoy!
